Port Huron, MI – The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League (UHL) announce that Saturday's game against the Elmira Jackals is Boy Scout Night.

Saturday the Jackals come to town for the second match up between the two teams this week. The Beacons made their first trip of the season to Elmira on Thursday where the Jackals held off the Beacons for a 2-1 win. The lone Port Huron goal was scored by Jason Firth, his second of the season at 18:25 of the third period.

All Boy Scout troops in the Blue Water Area were given a discounted rate to come out and enjoy some exciting Beacons hockey. The Boy Scouts will have two nights during the season where they receive this discounted rate on group tickets. The Beacons are proud to sponsor and promote the outstanding youth in the Boy Scouts of America programs through the area. If you are interesting in getting group tickets for a local Boy Scout troop, please contact Dan Steptoe at 810-989-9701 or by email at dsteptoe@comcast.net. We ask that all troops reserve their seats by noon the day of the game.

Port Huron travels to face off against the Adirondack IceHawks today before taking the ice at home Saturday against the Jackals for the second time this week. Individual and group tickets are available. For a complete schedule log on to the website at www.beaconshockey.com.
