Seattle Seawolves News Release
TUKWILA WA - Seattle Seawolves (5-0) remain undefeated in a hard fought win over the Chicago Hounds (1-4). They dominated the first half with a quick and sizable lead 27-5, until a weather delay for lightning paused the game temporarily. After 30 minutes, the game was called due to severe weather, giving the Seawolves an early victory.
AJ Alatimu led the half in points with two penalty kicks (6), three conversions (6), while three tries were scored by Riekert Hattingh, Tavite Lopeti, and Ina Futi.
MLR laws state that when a match is cancelled due to weather conditions, if the first half is played in its entirety, the winning team earns the win. This is the first time in MLR history that a match has been abandoned mid way.
