Erie SeaWolves News Release
Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in game four of the Eastern League Southern Division Championship Series. The âWolves need to win tonight to stay alive in the best-of-five series and to force a game five on Sunday at Jerry Uht Park. The SeaWolves fell in the third game thanks in large part to a superb performance from Aeros starter Jeremy Sowers who made his first appearance of the season for Akron. In the series, the âWolves have scored 20 runs in 19.2 innings against pitchers who have worn an Akron uniform during the regular season...Tonight, the âWolves hand the ball over to rightie Dallas Trahern who has been one of the aces of the starting rotation this season. Trahern has a 2-0 record with a no-decision and a 3.93 ERA against Akron in three starts. Trahern last pitched on the final day of the regular season against Altoona. In that game, he went 4.1 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts as he took a no-decision. It will be his first appearance against the Aeros since July 1...RHP Bobby Browlie takes the mound for the Aeros. Brownlie was a minor league free agent pick up by the Indians and has made nine appearances (eight starts) for Akron. In his most recent outing on the final day of the season against Binghamton, Brownlie went five innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts. In his only start against Erie, Browlie went four innings, allowing a run on four hits.
