SeaWolves Fall to Tropics in Lakeland

December 16, 2019 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Orlando SeaWolves News Release

The Orlando SeaWolves remain winless on the MASL season after falling to the Florida Tropics 6-3 in Lakeland.

After a scoreless first quarter, Florida found the back of the net in the second quarter to take the lead. Eduardo Cruz equalized three minutes later, but the Tropics took the lead seconds before halftime to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The Tropics doubled their lead early in the second half through a Ricardo Carvalho goal, but Jonny Mendoza's blast and Richard Schmermund's tap-in tied the game up at 3-3.

Seconds later, Gordy Gurson put the Tropics back in the lead, one that they would never relinquish. Lucas Monteleras and Ricardo Carvalho scored the game-sealing goals as the SeaWolves would lose their fourth game of the season.

The SeaWolves next games will be hosting the Milwaukee Wave and Baltimore Blast on back to back days. The first game against the Wave will be on Saturday, December 21 at 7:35 p.m. ET while the Blast match will be on the 22nd at 3:05 p.m. Both games will be live on MASL.tv
