Seattle Seawolves Draft and Sign Pago Haini

When Pago Haini steps on to the pitch in a Seawolves jersey he might stand alone as the only player to have donned a jersey of every team that has won the MLR Shield, playing for two of the teams the years they won it.

"I believe Pago's experience and physicality greatly complement our back row options. He reflects so much of what is great about rugby union, depicted in his gladiatorial yet respectful style of play. Born in American Samoa, Haini attended St. Joseph College, a well-known rugby school in Samoa before receiving a Rugby/Academic scholarship to attend Churchie, Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

He then attended Victoria University in Wellington, NZ, to attend Victoria University before joining the USA Sevens team in 2015. Since the inception of MLR, Haini has played for the Houston Sabercats (2018), New England Free Jacks (2019), LA Giltinis (2021), and Rugby New York (2022-2023).
