
Seattle Mountaineers Upset #3 Ranked San Francisco

Seattle Mountaineers News Release
The Seattle Mountaineers upset #3 ranked team in the ABA, the San Francisco Rumble, 110-99. The Mountaineers led from start to finish, building leads to as many as 20 points midway the third quarter. The Rumble fought back to close within 8 points in the final minutes, but excellent free throw shooting down the stretch sealed the victory for the Mountaineers. The crowd of 300 fans were treated to high caliber ABA basketball.
Seattle had balanced scoring with Tyler Amaya 23, Rashaad Powell 23 and Brian Spielman 20 points and 14 rebounds. San Francisco was led by Derek Foster's 37 points. The two teams meet again, Sunday evening, 5:00pm at Green River Community College.
