Orlando, Fla. (Feb. 2) -- The 6th annual Orlando Predators Season Ticket Pick-up Party has been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24 at Thunder Field, adjacent to the Florida Citrus Bowl. The event will take place from 9 a.m. - 12 noon.
In addition to giving fans an opportunity to pick-up their 2007 season tickets, the event has evolved into a festival that includes live music, complimentary food and beverage, the Predators inflatables, sponsor booths and vendors, introduction of the 2007 Predators team, a live scrimmage and visits from the Prowlers Dance Team and Klaw.
The event has grown each year, with close to 1,000 fans attending last year's event.
This year's Pick-up Party will have a charity aspect to. The Predators are conducting a food and supply drive for the BETA Center, a not-for-profit agency providing emergency family services to Central Florida.
"The BETA Center is an incredible organization and we're asking all our fans to bring a non-perishable food item, disposable baby diapers or cans of baby formula to the pick-up party," Predators head coach Jay Gruden said. "All items will be donated to the BETA Center and those donations will help that organization continue their important work."
The donations will aid the BETA Center's Emergency Family Support Services Program, which runs a community food pantry and provides baby supplies, food and diapers to needy individuals. Last year, the BETA Center served more than 17,000 individuals with their various programs.
As an incentive, any fan donating food or supplies will be put in a drawing for an authentic game helmet autographed by the 2007 Predators football team ($300 value).
In addition, the first 500 fans who pick-up their season tickets will receive a full-color 18 x 24 Orlando Predators Schedule Poster compliments of Mercury Printing and Hummer of Orlando.
