
Season ticket pick-up parties kick off Wolves season

The Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's arenafootball2 team, announced today that Wolves fans eager to get the 2006 season underway will be able to pick up their season tickets on Sunday, April 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Jillian's (50 Phillippe Cote St., Manchester). For fans that can't attend the first party, a second will be held Tuesday, April 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jillian's.
An array of appetizers will be served, as fans will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with Wolves players, the award-winning Manchester Wolves Dance Team and Blitz. The pick-up parties will mark the Wolves' football team's first public appearances after the 2006 roster is finalized.
"We're very excited to be coming back to Jillian's for the season ticket pick-up parties," said Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella. "They have been great partners and there is always a fantastic turnout for Wolves events there."
In addition, the Wolves will be hosting their first-ever auction of game-worn Wolves jerseys from the 2005 season, which include QB Jake Eaton, OL/DL Nick Myers and WR J.J. McKelvey who are now in the AFL. The auction will start at the first pick-up party on April 2. It will continue through the April 4 pick-up party and then will be moved online to www.manchesterwolves.com. Fans will also have the opportunity to put in bids at a booth set up in the Verizon Wireless Arena during the Wolves' first two home games in April. Bids will be closed online at midnight on April 27, and winners will be notified prior to the Wolves' April 29 home tilt against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The Wolves are entering 2006 with high hopes under the direction of second-year Head Coach Ben Bennett. Bennett, an AFL Hall of Famer, transformed the Wolves from a 5-11 squad in 2004 into a 12-4 East Division champion in just one season . With his full coaching staff back on board, Bennett is looking forward to another successful season.
The 2006 Wolves season kicks off on Friday, April 7, at 7:37 p.m. vs. the Green Bay Blizzard at the Verizon Wireless Arena, and will be broadcasted live on WMUR -Channel 9.
