Florida Seals News Release
[KISSIMMEE, Fla.] - The Florida Seals are proud to announce that all 56 games this year can be heard around the world on Live Sports Network (LSN). In addition, all 28 home games can also be seen on a pay-per-view basis. As the Seals move into their new building they will make history as it will be the first time Seals hockey can be seen visually around the world.
To view any of these broadcasts, please visit www.floridaseals.com. LSN offers technical help during the broadcasts to help users who have trouble using the site. Any fan wishing to be a part of a Florida Seals broadcast must download the latest free version of Real Player. Those viewing broadcasts will also be able to view a live box score, provided by Pointstreak, and chat with other viewers. The cost to see the live video for Florida Seals home games will be $7.99. Audio only broadcasts will be provided free of charge.
"I am excited that we are working with LSN," said Florida Seals Broadcaster Adam Minnick, "I have worked with them in the past and they provide a quality stream which is easy to use for our fans."
LSN is a user-friendly system that allows fans to watch live sporting events on the Internet. Through "narrowcasting", LSN allows viewers from all over the globe to become members and purchase pay-per-view events or season passes. Fans can then experience the LSN Enhanced Viewing Experience: they can watch the game live (or an archived game at a discounted price) on an interactive media player that includes audio feed of game announcers, a live-chat with fellow viewers, trivia sessions, and up to the minute live statistical updates. The fan is no longer just watching the game, but in fact is a part of a community. The games are streamed directly form the venue through web casting units that gather, encode, and dispatch content without human intervention and are operated remotely from any Internet connection in the world.
"We are excited to partner with the Florida Seals for their inaugural season at the Silver Spurs Arena," said EyeCentric Media President Tim Erwin. "I look forward to providing a whole new experience to Seals fans this season and am glad to be a part of their first season at the Silver Spurs Arena."
Get ready for the home opener Saturday, October 29 at the Silver Spurs Arena. The puck will drop for the first ever hockey game in the arena at 7:35 pm versus the Jacksonville Barracudas. Magnet schedules and Cheerstix will be given out. In addition enjoy the Zooperstars performances throughout the game and 1980 USA Olympic Hockey Captain Mike Eruzione.
To reserve your season tickets or find out more about partnerships with the Seals call the office at (407) 343-PUCK or go to www.floridaseals.com. Season tickets for exciting Seals hockey start as low as $225 and there are many different options to set up a payment plan to fit your budget.
