Seals Set To Celebrate Opening Week

CELEBRATION, Fla. - The Florida Seals Professional Hockey Club is about to drop the puck on another season at the Silver Spurs Arena. During the next ten days, they will celebrate by participating in several community events.

The Seals will kick off the week by participating in the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce "Community Reunion Weekend". The event, which will be held on Friday October 20 and Saturday October 21 at the St. Cloud lakefront, will feature music, food and plenty of fun. Come out on Friday, October 20 and meet members of the Seals' family and talk some hockey with them.

On Saturday, October 21, come join the Seals at their "Open House and Treasure Hunt" from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Silver Spurs Arena. Come meet the staff, players and the newly chosen B & W Mobile Auto Detailing Florida Seals Ice Girls, get autographs from the guys and more. Season ticket holders and corporate sponsors can pick up their ticket packages or if you haven't done so yet, pick your seats and sign up for season tickets that day. There'll be prizes, including free season tickets, available so don't miss it.

Seals' players will be out and about on Wednesday, October 25. That morning, a couple of the players will be at Michigan Ave. Elementary School in St. Cloud from 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. for "All Pro Dads Breakfast Day". Students and their fathers will get to learn how important parents are in shaping professional athletes right from the players themselves.

That all leads up to Friday, October 27 - GAME NIGHT!!!!!!! The Seals will host the Huntsville Havoc in the season opener at the Silver Spurs Arena. Game time is 7:35 P.M. Seals' fans are asked to wear white for "White Out Night" at the Spurs. The first 1,000 fans entering the Silver Spurs Arena will receive a rally towel courtesy of Game-Worn.com, the place to go for authentic game worn jerseys and the official retailer for Florida Seals' jerseys.

If you haven't had enough of the Havoc, come back to the Spurs on Saturday, October 28 as the Seals and Huntsville go at it again. Game time is 7:35 P.M.

To cap off the week, come see the Seals on Sunday, October 29 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the Four Corners Fall Festival at Four Corners Middle School in Davenport. Sponsored by the Community of Faith church, the festival features, games, train rides, Halloween costume contests, live music and performances by the "In His Hands" puppet ministry. Admission is free. Join the Seals for a family friendly, safe fun time.
