Richmond Renegades News Release

The Richmond Renegades today announced they have signed forward DEAN JACKSON who they acquired in the summer expansion draft. Jackson will now join his former Fayetteville line mate, Scott Corbett in time for the Renegades season opener on October 28th. That game will pit the former FireAntz players against their team of last season.

Jackson has appeared in 125 games for the Elmira Jackals of the UHL and 70 games for the Fayetteville FireAntz. In 56 games with Fayetteville last season he scored 32 goals and 44 assists with 46 PIM's to lead Fayetteville in scoring. His linemate Corbett was fourth in scoring for the FireAntz.

"I've been speaking to Dean frequently since we drafted him," stated Allan B. Harvie, Jr., Renegades President and GM. "He's an impact player who can change a game with a flick of his wrist. He's also a leader with experience and great in the locker room. I couldn't be happier that he's coming here. We were very fortunate to get both Dean and Scott in the draft."

Renegades season tickets are now on sale. The Renegades visit Fayetteville for an exhibition game on Saturday, October 21st and return home for a 1 PM rematch at the Coliseum on Sunday. Renegades open their home season at 7:15 PM on October 28th against the Jacksonville Barracudas.
