Florida Seals News Release

Orlando – The Orlando Seals still cannot find a way to win, dropping their eighth straight decision Tuesday night in a 3-2 loss to the Lakeland Loggerheads. Two former Seals lead the way as Joe Seroski had two goals and Chris Cerrella netted the game-winner for the Loggerheads.

Cerrella's 15th goal of the season came with only 2 minutes, 15 seconds remaining in regulation to put Lakeland on top to stay, despite being outshot 36 to 27.

B.J. Stephens put the Seals on the board first. Stephens collected the puck in the corner and skated toward the front of the net, backhanding the puck between Carl Poissant's skate and the goal post for a 1-0 Orlando Lead.

Lakeland answered with less than a minute left in the first period on Seroski's first goal of the night.

Seamus Galligan's goal at 7:48 of the second period put the Seals in front 2-1. Galligan and new Seal Heath Gordon entered the Lakeland zone on a 2-on-0 breakaway. As Galligan attempted the cross-ice pass to Gordon, the trailing Lakeland defender illegally threw his stick to break up the play. On the ensuing penalty shot, Galligan wristed a shot low to Carl Poissant's glove side for his 11th goal of the season.

Seroski tied it up again for the Loggerheads with a laser shot that beat David Goverde high glove side for a 2-2 hockey game.

The Seals and Loggerheads face off again Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. in the Tank. That game will be available on the internet at www.IRN.FM.
