VICTORIA, BC - The Victoria Seals Island Camp in Nanaimo, BC has been cancelled.

Due to recent rains in the local area over the past few days and predicted rain in the next few days, the Seals have made the decision to call off the tryout camp.

"We took a chance scheduling it this early in the spring, but were hoping for a few days of sunshine to host the camp," said Seals President Darren Parker, "we are disappointed we won't get the chance to hold it this weekend, but optimistic that we will still put a solid team on the field for opening day."

Currently there are no plans to reschedule the camp on Vancouver Island.

The Seals start on the road in Edmonton on May 21, before the May 29th home opener at Royal Athletic Park vs. the Long Beach Armada.
