Scrappy to appear at 14th Annual Danbury Hospital Children\'s Day

Danbury, CT—The Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League have agreed to take part in the 14th Annual Danbury Hospital Children's Day, scheduled for Saturday March 19th from 10am-2pm.

Scrappy, the team's mascot will be meeting fans of all ages at the event from the Galante Pediatric Suite, the youth wing of the Danbury Hospital's Emergency Room from 10am-2pm. Everyone is encouraged to get Scrappy's autograph and take pictures.

Other activities scheduled for this special event include tours of EMS, fire and police vehicles, Amber Alert Child ID program courtesy of the Danbury Rotary Clubs in conjunction with the Danbury/New Fairfield Woman's Club, tours of the Emergency Department, Duracell Ambulatory Surgery Center, Radiology (X-Ray) Department and the Pediatric/Adolescent Inpatient Unit and face painting.

Patrons may park free in the red parking garage, Locust Avenue entrance. Registration takes place in the Praxair Cancer Center, 1st floor, Stroock Building. For more information, call the Danbury Hospital Marketing and Public Relations department at 203.797.7247.

The Danbury Trashers return to the ice on Friday night at 7:30pm against Elmira, as the first 2,500 fans will receive a Danbury Trashers seat cushion courtesy of Prestone.

Tickets for all Trashers games can be purchased online at DanburyTrashers.com, or by calling 866-565-PUCK during business hours. The Trashers team shop at the Danbury Ice Arena is open from Noon-5pm on Sunday, Noon-6pm on Monday, Noon-7pm on Tuesday through Friday, and from 9am-5pm on Saturday. Fans unable to attend any Trashers game may listen to the free audio webcast or purchase the B2 Live TV video feed with Phil Giubileo at DanburyTrashers.com.
