
Scrappers Win in High-Scoring Game

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Scrappers defeated the Crosscutters 15-8 in a high-scoring game in
Mahoning Valley. The balls were flying as both teams combined to hit five home runs in the game.
The Cutters took an early 2-0 lead in the ballgame on a two-run home run from shortstop Josue Urdaneta.
The Scrappers took over with an eight-run second inning to take an 8-2 lead. The Cutters added three runs
in the fourth, but Mahoning Valley scored two in the third and a single run in each of the next three innings.
Mahoning Valley also added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth. The Scrappers hit three home runs in
the ballgame.
Designated hitter Isaac Nunez blasted a two-run home run in the seventh to add two runs and the Cutters
added one more in the eighth to bring to the score to 15-8.
First baseman Tayden Hall, Urdaneta and Nunez each had two RBI. Urdaneta and Nunez each had three hits.
