Scorpions Offer One-Of-A-Kind Season Ticket Gift

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Thursday, August 20, 2015) - The San Antonio Scorpions have opened Season Ticket Membership renewals and new sales for 2016 season tickets with the worldwide exclusive benefit of a special keepsake ball autographed by legendary United States soccer star Landon Donovan, President/General Manager Howard Cornfield announced today. Fans who renew or purchase season tickets for the 2016 Scorpions season will receive the priceless collectible free (while supplies last).

"We are very excited that we have the unique opportunity to give our fans this valuable gift autographed by the best player in United States soccer history," said Cornfield. "This could arguably be one of the best season ticket gifts ever awarded anywhere as soccer balls with Landon's autograph are selling for $300 and more online. This gift is our way of saying 'thank you' to our loyal fans. We are also very appreciative of Landon's desire to support Soccer for a Cause and special needs individuals."

Donovan made over 150 appearances in his international career, played in three World Cups, was named to the CONCACAF Gold Cup Best XI four times, is the United States Men's National Team's all-time leader in both goals and assists, and is widely recognized as the best American soccer player ever. The balls will each be individually autographed - not a printed reproduction - by Donovan and will be available in limited supply to 2016 Scorpions Season Ticket Members on a first-come, first served basis.
