New York Giants QB Eli Manning Meets the New York Cosmos

East Rutherford, NJ (August 20, 2015) - New York Cosmos stars Raúl, Leo Fernandes, Danny Szetela and Cosmos' Head Scout (and former player) Dane Murphy attended the New York Giants training camp Wednesday evening at Quest Diagnostics Training Center in the MetLife Sports Complex. The soccer stars met with Giants players Eli Manning, Steve Weatherford and Mark Herzlich after their practice session.
"I'm from New Jersey and a huge Giants fan. Watching the guys train was great, especially seeing Eli throwing passes up close." commented Cosmos midfielder, Danny Szetela.
When asked about whether soccer players would be any good at football Raúl replied: "Soccer players could potentially make good kickers, but I'm not sure we'd survive the tackling in other positions!"

The next New York Cosmos home game will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 4:00pm against the Carolina Railhawks. Also, earlier this month, it was announced that the Cosmos' opening postseason game of the NASL Championship will be held at Brooklyn's MCU Park in Coney Island, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, on November 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. ET.
