
Sconone Named Defensive Player of the Week

Frisco, TX - Major League Lacrosse today announced Dallas Rattlers goalie Sean Sconone has been named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Week. The rookie earned the honor after stopping 20 out of 28 shots against the Denver Outlaws on Sunday, July 21.
Sconone posted a 71.43 save percentage against the league-leading Outlaws (6-2) to guide the Rattlers (1-7) to their first win of the season.
In three appearances for the Rattlers, the UMass product has started to establish himself as one of the stingiest keepers in the league. Sconone's 56.96 save percentage leads all MLL goalies.
Sconone joined the Rattlers as an undrafted free agent prior to week two of the season after an impressive collegiate career. The East Islip, New York native recorded a nation-leading 61.5 save percentage during his senior year and was later named the nation's most outstanding goalie and a first team USILA All-American.
After the upcoming MLL All-Star break, no. 31 and company are set to face the Atlanta Blaze (5-4) in a road tilt on August 3. The game will air live for free on Lax Sports Network.
