SCL Championship Tickets Available

South Georgia Peanuts News Release


The South Georgia Peanuts, presented by Security Bank, are pleased to announce that tickets for the South Coast League championship series are currently available. The Peanuts are also announcing a schedule change regarding an upcoming double-header with the Macon Music.

After winning the first half championship, South Georgia is scheduled to host game number two and three (if necessary) of the SCL championship series. These games are scheduled to be played on Saturday September 1st and Sunday September 2nd. Saturday's game will have a first pitch of 7:10 while Sunday's game will begin at 6:10.

"We really feel like these days can be great days in the history of sports in Albany," Peanuts GM Keith Michlig said. "When everything got started, our goal was to bring Albany and all of South Georgia a championship and we are now getting prepared for that to possibly happen in front of our great fans at Paul Eames Park."

Season Ticket holders have first right of refusal for the playoff tickets. The tickets are currently available by stopping by the Peanuts front office at Paul Eames Park. Tickets for non-season ticket holders will go on sale this upcoming Monday. All tickets will cost ten dollars for each game. Seats will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis.

The Peanuts have also announced a schedule change regarding an upcoming double-header. South Georgia and Macon will finish the suspended game from July 13th and then play a seven inning contest on August 25th. This double-header was originally scheduled for August 24th but was moved back a day to accommodate "Friday Night Fireworks." First pitch will occur at 6:10.

The Peanuts also have a double-header with Aiken scheduled for this Tuesday. First Pitch is set for 6:10. South Georgia is currently playing a 12-game home stand that will finish on August 15th. The Peanuts will play on the road for a week before returning home for the final week of the season before getting set for the SCL championship series.
