Savage signs with Dallas

Former Shock OS Antwone Savage has signed a contract with the Dallas Desperados of the Arena Football League.
Savage led the Shock in 2006 with 1,851 all-purpose yards. His 85 receptions tied him for the team lead. 21 of those catches went for touchdowns, including the first touchdown in Shock history. In the post-season, Savage added four more touchdowns, including two in the ArenaCup Championship game.
"Antwone is a special player; he exemplified what the Shock organization is all about-on and off the field," General Manager Adam Nebeker said. "We'll miss him tremendously, but we're elated to see him get the chance to showcase his abilities at the next level."
Savage becomes the first player in Shock history to sign a contract with an AFL team.
