Saugerties Stallions Defeats Glens Falls Dragons, 4-2 in PGCBL Matchup

Saugerties, N.Y.- Joe Venturino went 2-3 as the Saugerties Stallions (9-12) took home a 4-2 victory over the Glens Falls Dragons (10-11) at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field on Friday. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

The Saugerties Stallions couldn't get anything going as long as Sam Steeves was pitching. The Saugerties Stallions managed just three hits off of Steeves, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

AJ Carkner improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Saugerties Stallions. Carkner struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Nick Duthu ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
