Rome Renegades News Release


ROME, Ga. - Saturday's combine, the Renegades first recruiting event for the 2006 season, is open to the public. The Rome Renegades invite any media, fans, and potential athletes, 18 years and older, to come out and get a first look at the recruiting efforts and activities of the Rome Renegades. Saturday's combine will be held at the Anthony Center in west Rome and will include skills testing in the 10, 20 and 40 yard dash, vertical jump and individual specific drills. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and a $55 registration fee will apply for participants. Cash and money orders accepted only. Gatorade and CiCi's Pizza, official sponsors for the 2006 season, will be partnering with the Renegades for a successful first combine on Saturday.

Combine Eligibility & Registration- Any athlete 18 years or older who is interested in pursuing a football career is encouraged to attend the Renegades combine. Participating in a professional combine does negate NCAA eligibility. Registration information is currently available on line at www.romerengades.com. All combine participants will receive a free Renegades T-Shirt. Please be sure to see the website for more details on the registration process.

Saturday's combine, along with six others the Renegades have planned for the fall, will provide the coaching staff with the opportunity to look for the best talent available creating a pool of players to make the best team possible.
