Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Two hundred children, their parents, and friends braved brisk conditions under sunny skies as the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, in cooperation with their parent Major League club, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, held the fifth-annual Angels Youth Baseball Clinic, presented by Shea Homes, this past Saturday at The Epicenter in Rancho Cucamonga.

During the free clinic, boys and girls took part in multiple baseball related drills such as hitting, pitching, catching, defense, running, and sliding as parents had the opportunity to meet the new additions to the Quakes' front office staff and check out exciting information about Quakes ticket packages and group outings for the upcoming 2007 season.

The clinic was led by many members of the Angels' organization, including former Cleveland Indians hurler Charles Nagy, a three-time former Major League All-Star who is the pitching coach for the Angels' Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake City, current Quakes manager Bobby Mitchell, Tony Reagins , the Angels' Director of Player Development, Steve Solis, the Angels bullpen catcher, OF Drew Toussaint, an Angels' prospect that played with the Quakes last season, Clyde Wright, a former California Angels All-Star pitcher who serves as a member of the Angels' speakers bureau, as well as staff and representatives from the Quakes front office as well as the Pro Kids Academy. The Quakes new Director of Broadcasting, Jeff Levering, served as on-field host for the event.

Lunch was provided by the Quakes and Valley Concessions for all clinic participants, and the coaches and Angels staff members participated in a post-clinic autograph session.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are the Advanced-A California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and open their 2007 season on Thursday, April 5th at home against the Lake Elsinore Storm. For information about ticket packages and group information, please call (909) 481-5000.
