Sanon to Suit up for Haiti against Argentina

OTTAWA - Ottawa Fury FC forward Jimmy-Shammar Sanon has been selected by the Haiti National Team to take part in an International Friendly Match against Argentina on Tuesday, May 29 at Estadio Alberto J. Armando in Buenos Aires. Sanon will be part of national coach Marc Collat 20-man roster that will take on Lionel Messi and the Argentines in their final preparation before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

This will be Sanon's second National Team call up with Haiti at the senior level. He made his debut on October 10, 2017 in a Friendly Match against Japan, playing 59 minutes in the 3-3 draw. Sanon had previously participated in the 2017 U-20 CONCACAF Championship wearing Haiti colours, featuring in two matches, collecting one goal and one assist.

Sanon will be away on National Team duty from May 22 to May 30, making him unavailable for selection for Fury FC's matches on May 25th and May 30th.

Fury FC is in action this Saturday in Charleston against the Battery, and will return to TD Place to face Bethlehem Steel FC in this season's first Friday night game under the lights on May 25th.
