
Sanchez, Ellis Can-Am League Players of the Week

DURHAM, NC - Pointstreak, the official statistician of the Can-Am League, has selected New Jersey Jackals INF Kris Sanchez and RHP Shaun Ellis as the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
In seven games, Sanchez batted a torrid .560 with three home runs and 10 RBIs. He collected 14 hits in 25 at-bats, plated six runs and had a slugging percentage of 1.040. In the 11-10 win over the Rockland Boulders Wednesday, Sanchez went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs. The Cambridge, OH resident is currently batting .279 with nine home runs and 38 RBIs.
Ellis notched wins against Rockland and New York this past week. In 12 innings pitched, the Philadelphia resident allowed three earned runs (2.25 ERA) on 14 hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. On the season, Ellis is 5-1 with an earned run average of 4.46.
