Four Straight Wins The Giants enter tonight's contest riding a season-high four-game winning streak. San Jose defeated Modesto last Sunday in the final game of their series versus the Nuts before sweeping a three-game set against the visiting Stockton Ports. Prior to the current win streak, the Giants (10-8) had yet to claim consecutive victories this season.

Extra, Extra Yesterday's 3-2, 11-inning victory over Stockton marked the Giants' first extra-inning game of the season. San Jose played a league-high 22 extra-inning games during the 2015 regular season (11-11 record). It was the second-most extra-inning contests of any team in Minor League Baseball last year. The Giants also played three extra-inning games in the playoffs last season - all wins and all in elimination games.

Offensive Surge During the just-completed homestand (5-2 record), the Giants hit .300 as a team and averaged 6.4 runs per game. San Jose achieved season-highs in runs (12 - last Sunday vs. Modesto), hits (18 - Sunday vs. Modesto) and home runs (4 - last Saturday vs. Modesto) during the homestand.

RBI Machine Third baseman Jose Vizcaino, Jr. has collected 11 RBI's in his last five games. During the five-game stretch, Vizcaino, Jr. is batting at a .429 clip (9-for-21) with a double and a home run. Vizcaino's 17 RBI's this season rank tied for third in the California League.

Starting Strong Giants starting pitchers have posted a 2.09 ERA (10 ER/43.0 IP) over the last seven games. San Jose starters have pitched at least six innings in five out of the last seven games.

Back At Rec Park This series marks San Jose's first visit to Recreation Park in Visalia since last September's thrilling North Division Series triumph over the Rawhide. The Giants edged Visalia by a 6-5 score on Angel Villalona's 11th inning solo home run in the decisive fifth game of the playoff series at Rec Park. San Jose went just 4-15 against the Rawhide during the regular season last year (2-8 in Visalia) before their playoff series win.

On The Road Tonight begins a stretch for the Giants playing 24 out of 29 games on the road. Following the series versus the Rawhide, San Jose will continue their road trip with a four-game set in Stockton. The Giants have a season-long 14-game road trip from May 15-28.

C.J Hinojosa After picking-up three more hits yesterday, shortstop C.J Hinojosa raised his season batting average to .354 - fourth in the California League. Hinojosa, who also connected for his first home run of the year yesterday, has hit safely in 15 out of his 17 games played. Hinojosa is 8-for-17 (.471) over his last four games.

San Francisco Affiliation This year is San Jose's 29th season as an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants - the longest current partnership of any team in the California League. Since their inception in 1988, the San Jose Giants have won six league championships (1998, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010), 11 North Division titles and qualified for the playoffs 21 times (in 28 seasons). The Giants enter this year having posted a league-record 12 consecutive winning seasons (2004-2015).

Top Prospects Seven players on San Jose's roster are among the top 30 prospects in the San Francisco organization according to Baseball America: infielder Chris Shaw (#5), pitcher Sam Coonrod (#6), catcher Aramis Garcia (#7), pitcher Andrew Suarez (#12), pitcher Jordan Johnson (#15), outfielder Ronnie Jebavy (#21) and outfielder Steven Duggar (#25).

Opponent Notes: Visalia Rawhide The Visalia Rawhide, an affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, are in first place in the North Division with a 14-6 record. Visalia enters tonight's series opener on a four-game winning streak. The Rawhide lead the California League in batting average (.283) and are fifth in ERA (4.28). Visalia won two out of three games in San Jose from April 11-13 during the only previous meeting between the teams this season. Individually, shortstop Domingo Leyba (6th, .342), first baseman Rudy Flores (7th, .338) and second baseman Henry Castillo (8th, .333) all rank among the top eight in the league in batting average.
