Visalia, CA- San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer Juliana Paoli received the California League Woman of Excellence Award for the 2015 season as announced today by league President Charlie Blaney. This is the second time that she has earned this honor, having also received the award as the inaugural winner in 2010. After being nominated by the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes front office, Paoli received the honor after a vote by her California League peers. As the California League Woman of Excellence, she will be a nominee for Minor League Baseball's Rawlings Woman of the Year Award that will be presented at the Winter Meetings in December in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Juliana is one of the most dedicated and hard-working members of not only the San Jose Giants' staff, but the entire California League," said Blaney. "She is a very worthy recipient of the Cal League's Woman of Excellence Award and a tremendous nominee for the 2015 Rawlings Woman of the Year."

As Chief Marketing Officer of the San Jose Giants, Juliana has spent the last ten seasons developing and implementing an integrated marketing campaign that resulted in revenue breaking records in every budget category. She serves as the leader of several departments including: Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Retail, Community Affairs and Promotions. This season she also stepped in to oversee the Food and Beverage operation.

"For the past decade, Juliana Paoli has given this organization incredible leadership and a work ethic that is second to none," said Daniel Orum, San Jose Giants President and CEO. "From directing our extensive marketing campaigns to working on special events as well as going the extra mile to improve the San Jose Giants experience, Juliana touches numerous aspects of our operation. There is no doubt that our organization would not have achieved its tremendous successes over the past 10 years without her contributions and she is a deserving 2015 California League Woman of Excellence Award winner."

Since joining the San Jose Giants in 2006, Juliana has worked with hundreds of organizations and non-profits to raise millions of dollars annually, while also establishing and growing the team's brand as a pillar in the community. She has watched with tremendous pride as 79 former players have taken what they've learned on and off the field in San Jose and applied it to successful Major League careers. 63 of those debuted with the San Francisco Giants, including 16 Homegrown Champions on the 2014 World Series team and 10 in both 2012 and 2010.

Juliana has also given back to Minor League Baseball, volunteering her time as a member of the PBEO Steering Committee, several times serving as a featured speaker at the Business of Baseball Workshop at the Baseball Winter Meetings and at the annual Promotional Seminar. Paoli has been part of the 2009 John H. Johnson President's Trophy and Baseball America's Bob Freitas award winning staff. She is also especially proud to have led the team to it's first-ever Larry MacPhail Award in 2014, given annually to the organization with the top marketing and promotions effort.

"I am proud and extremely honored to be a two-time recipient of the California League Woman of Excellence Award," said Paoli. "I am incredibly grateful to have been nominated by the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, an organization who worked tirelessly throughout 2015 and hosted this year's California-Carolina League All-Star Game. I would like to thank the San Jose Giants staff and players, the San Francisco Giants, the California League, our partners and especially the incredible fans who I have had the privilege to work with over the past decade and truly consider family. I look forward to seeing each of them at Municipal Stadium and take pride in knowing that many more memories will be created in the years to come."

The San Jose quest for a 12th California League Championship continues tonight in Visalia at 6:00 PM. For all of the latest information call (408) 297-1435 or visit sjgiants.com/playoffs.
