
San Jose Earthquakes and Wells Fargo Announce Summer 4v4 Tournament Dates

SAN JOSE, Calif. - For a third consecutive year, the San Jose Earthquakes and Wells Fargo have teamed up to host a series of youth and adult soccer tournaments in the Bay Area. This summer, the two organizations will host events in East Palo Alto and Hayward.
Building on successful tournaments in 2011 and 2012, the first of two Earthquakes 4v4 Presented by Wells Fargo tournaments is set for Saturday, June 22 at Cesar Chavez Elementary in East Palo Alto. The final tournament of the summer will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Alden E. Oliver Sports Park in Hayward.
Divisions for each event include: Boys and girls U-8 through U-19, men's and women's rec, adult coed and men's open. Prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place teams in all divisions. All participants receive an Earthquakes ticket voucher, event t-shirt, and sponsor gifts. Each event will also feature appearances by Earthquakes players. Participation fees are $150 for youth and adult rec divisions and $175 for the men's open division.
Over the last two years, over 3,000 youth and adults have participated in the Earthquakes' 4v4 tournaments around the Bay Area. The club and Wells Fargo also team up for the Wells Fargo Goals for Education program, which has raised $28,500 for local youth sports organizations.
