The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation will be on hand, collecting new unwrapped toys for needy children. The Sockers offer a $1 discount for all active and retired military.

CHILES, WRIGHT LEAD SOCKERS IN SCORING

For the second straight season, Kraig Chiles is the go-to forward in the Sockers' offense. Back-to-back two goal, one assist games have Chiles leading the Sockers with five goals (T-3rd PASL-Pro) and eight points (T-5th). 41-year-old veteran midfielder Paul Wright continues to captain the Sockers' power play and free kick units. He has two goals, and Wright's five assists are tied for second in the league, one behind Ohio's Steve Gillespie.

GET TO YOUR SEATS, THE SHOW'S ABOUT TO START

The Sockers have made a quick start their habit so far in 2010-2011. San Diego has scored at least three goals in every first quarter they've played so far this year, including four goals in each of their last two games. Paul Wright has four of his seven points in the first quarter, and Kraig Chiles has three of his five goals, with a first quarter goal in all three games.

OPPONENT'S PROFILE: Louisville Lightning

LAST YEAR: 11-5 (PASL-Pro Eastern Div.)

vs. SOCKERS: 0-1 all-time

Last Meeting: Sockers 11, Lightning 7 (4/10/10)

The first-ever meeting between the Sockers and the Louisville Lightning decided the championship of the 2009-2010 US Open for Indoor Soccer. The two sides met at the Mockingbird Valley Sports Complex on April 10th, with the Sockers claiming an 11-7 victory. The Sockers controlled the game early, scoring three goals in the first 91 seconds. A 7-1 lead in the second quarter was challenged late, but Riley Swift made 23 saves to hold Louisville at bay. Eric Wunderle led the Sockers with two goals and three assists in the game. Safet Kovacevic had a hat trick in the loss for Louisville.

STAR: Safet Kovacevic, forward

Kovacevic led the Lightning in 2009-2101 in every relevant offensive category and is the primary target of the Louisville offense. With 28 goals and 24 assists in 16 games, Kovacevic ranked fourth in the PASL-Pro in goals and second in assists, and his 52 points were tied for third but just one point off the league lead. Kovacevic had a hat trick against the Sockers in their only previous meeting on April 10th. He has one goal and one assist in two games so far in 2010-2011.

WATCH OUT FOR: Frank Peabody, goalkeeper

The Lightning goalkeeper is tested often and is up to the task. Peabody led the PASL-Pro in saves in 2009-2010 by a wide margin with 260 saves in 15 games, an average of 17.3 per game. Peabody has allowed just 11 goals in 2 games so far in 2010-2011, and his .788 save percentage leads the PASL-Pro.
