San Diego Gulls to Participate in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes October 11

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club will participate in YWCA of San Diego County's Walk A Mile In Her Shoes on Tuesday, Oct. 11 (5 p.m.) San Diego Gulls Head Coach Dallas Eakins, team President of Business Operations Matt Savant and Gulls players will walk a mile in women's heels to support domestic violence awareness.

The walk will begin at MLK Promenade Park at 4th Ave. and K Street, San Diego, Calif. 92101.

The Gulls will host a Domestic Violence Awareness Night on Saturday, Oct. 22 (7 p.m.) to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month, take a stand against the pervasive issue of domestic violence and honor the resiliency of survivors in the San Diego community.
