San Diego Gulls First Annual End-Of-Summer Block Party

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club will host the First Annual End-of-Summer Block Party at Quartyard San Diego on Saturday, September 5 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Upon entry, all attendees will receive one limited edition promotional scarf and one complementary drink (beer, wine or soft drink).
In addition to receiving the promotional scarf, fans will have their first opportunity since HockeyFest to purchase Gulls merchandise on-site. The Gulls will also debut a unique "Cali Republic" Zephyr hat, combining the Gulls' trademarked "SD" logo with the California state flag. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Local food vendors will be on-hand, including Gulls partners Rockin' Baja Lobster and Cali Comfort BBQ, as well several local bands presented by Gulls partners Pacific Records and GigTown. Head Coach Dallas Eakins and other members of the Gulls' hockey staff will participate in a Q&A session, moderated by The Voice of the Gulls, Craig Elsten. Coach Eakins will also address the crowd, his first comments directly to Gulls fans since his introductory press conference.
Tickets for the event are $10 online and $20 at the door ($10 with Military ID), and can be purchased by visiting www.gullsblockparty.simpletix.com. Proceeds from the event will benefit the San Diego Gulls Foundation and be reinvested into grass roots fan development efforts and growing the game of hockey in San Diego.
Additionally, Block Party tickets are good for up to 46% off tickets to select games during the final Padres homestand.
