SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 9, 2015) - The San Antonio Stars have re-signed guard Danielle Robinson to a multi-year contract, head coach and general manager Dan Hughes announced today. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

A two-time All-Star, Robinson started 33 games in 2014 and ranked third in the WNBA averaging 5.3 assists while adding 12.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.67 steals in 33 minutes. She led the league in free-throw percentage (94.1 percent), making 96 of her 102 attempts. She was named to the All-WNBA Second Team and to the All-Defensive Second Team following the conclusion of the season.

"The signing of Danielle Robinson was one of our priorities this year," said Hughes. "It has been exciting to watch her improve year-to-year with San Antonio. She is getting better every year and is now moving into a position where her leadership becomes even more important to us going forward. She is a big part of the community and our team. Danielle is driven to be a great player and it is really exciting for us that she will be a Star for multiple years to come."

In her WNBA career, Robinson has appeared in 126 games, averaging 10.5 points, 4.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 29.1 minutes. She was a Western Conference All-Star in back-to-back seasons (2013-14) and was named to the Stars All-Decade Team in 2012.

"I am very grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to be back with the Stars organization," said Robinson. "From the moment I was drafted it has felt like home. I've been embraced with lots of love and support from great people and I'm looking forward to continuing to grow those relationships in the years to come. I appreciate Coach Hughes for believing in me as being a key piece to this team in order to help try and bring a championship to this city. A huge thanks as well to the city of San Antonio and our amazing fans for believing in us and always supporting our team."

Robinson was selected by the Stars in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2011 WNBA Draft out of the University of Oklahoma where she was an AP Second-Team All-American during her senior season. She was unanimously named to the 2011 WNBA All-Rookie team.
