
San Antonio Stars Guard Danielle Robinson Undergoes Successful Achilles Surgery

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Stars guard Danielle Robinson underwent successful Achilles surgery this afternoon in California, the team announced today. Robinson's timetable to return to basketball activities is to be determined.
"After years of managing pain in my Achilles, I am looking forward to beginning a new chapter of health and healing," said Robinson. "Though it will be difficult to be sidelined, I am committed to returning stronger than ever and look forward to supporting my teammates in San Antonio this season. I am grateful for all of the love and support I have received from my doctors, my family and friends, the Stars organization, my teammates and my WNBA and USA basketball family."
Robinson was originally drafted in 2011 out of the University of Oklahoma and has spent her entire career in San Antonio. Overall during her five seasons in the WNBA, Robinson is averaging 10.2 points, 4.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 29.3 minutes. She ranks second in Stars franchise history in assists (769), assists per game (4.9) and free-throw percentage (87.8 percent).
