San Antonio FC Goalkeeper Jordan Farr Named USL Championship Player of the Week

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC goalkeeper Jordan Farr has been named USL Championship Player of the Week, and joins SAFC midfielder Mohammed Abu on the league's Team of the Week as well.
The reigning goalkeeper of the year, Farr earns the Player of the Week honor for the first time in his career. Last season, Farr was twice named the league player of the month but failed to earn the weekly top spot.
Farr earned the spot on the weekly lineup after making five saves in a shutout win over Colorado Springs on Saturday. No save was bigger than his penalty stop, coming in stoppage time to preserve the 1-0 win on the final kick of the night.
Joining Farr on the Team of the Week is Abu, the goal scorer that gave SAFC the 1-0 lead. The Ghanaian midfielder's first career USL Championship goal saw him placed on the Team of the Week bench.
The duo add to a growing list of SAFC players to earn spots on the weekly list. San Antonio has now seen two players on each week's roster this season, with five different players receiving recognition.
Farr and Abu are back in action on Saturday, April 1 at Monterey Bay FC. The matchup kicks off at 9:00 p.m. CT, and can be streamed on ESPN+.
