Samuels Reaches 1,000

Tampa - Tampa Bay Storm wide receiver Lawrence Samuels caught a 6-yard pass from Brett Dietz with 5:02 left in the 1st quarter to become the first player in Arena Football League history to record 1,000 career receptions. He is only the sixth receiver in professional football history to reach this milestone. The exclusive group has four players form the National Football League and one from the Canadian Football League.

Samuels needs seven receptions to pass CFL all-time leader Terry Vaughn and move into fifth place for most receptions in professional football history.
