Same Team, New Name, New Ownership

RiverCity Rage News Release


At a 2 PM press conference at the Locker Room Restaurant in the Family Arena in St. Charles, the Show Me Believers became the RiverCity Rage under the new ownership of GST Sports Inc.

Jerry Lakin, Tye Elliott, and Scott Wilson (top to bottom, left to right) announced their ownership and unveiled the new team identity and logo in front of a dozen members of the working media and more than 4 dozen assembled guests, including almost a dozen minority stock owners known as Owner Associates.

The new ownership group promised a "family friendly" environment at Rage games with specialty acts and entertainment at each game.

High Flying Offense to Continue

The RiverCity Rage is pleased to announce that Mike Wyatt has signed a new 3 year contract to continue as Head Football Coach and Genereal Manager. Wyatt lead the team to a 9-5 mark last season after taking over the reigns from former Mizzou Head Football Coach Warren Powers. In the process, Wyatt's team established 5 new offensive records. For his efforts, he was named as the Atlantic North Division and Atlantic Conference All Star Coach for 2004.

RAGE GETS IN CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

The RiverCity Rage has teamed up with local radio personality, "Cornbread" of WIL- 92.3 FM in support of his "Stuff My Studio" toy drive. On the air, live, this morning, Jerry Lakin reprsenting the ownership group pledged $1000 to the local radio host's project.

Fans may drop off new, unwrapped toys at the RiverCity Rage Office at 1000 Country Club Road. Suite 100 until 6PM on Friday, December 17 and from Noon until 2 PM on Saturday, December 18 and Sunday, December 19.
