Samantha Kerr Signs with Perth Glory

ELMA, N.Y. ( Wednesday, September 10, 2014 ) - Western New York Flash forward Samantha Kerr will be returning to play in her hometown after signing with the Perth Glory for the upcoming Australian W-League season.

In her sophomore season with the Flash, Kerr totaled nine goals en route to winning the team's Golden Boot award, increasing her two-year Flash total to 15 goals. Playing and starting in 20 contests this season, the 20-year-old Matilda also assisted on four goals during her 1,660 minutes on the pitch.

After posting five points (two goals, one assist) to lead the Flash to a record-setting 5-0 win over Portland Thorns FC on June 7, Kerr was named NWSL Week 9 Player of the Week.

Kerr started her professional career with the Glory in 2008, and later moved to Sydney FC in 2012 where she played two seasons with the Sky Blues.

Perth will begin its 2014-15 campaign on Sunday, kicking off against the Brisbane Roar at 12 p.m. local time (12 a.m. ET).
