
Sam Warburg receives wild card at SAP Open and will play first round on Monday night

Sacramento Capitals player Sam Warburg received a wildcard into the SAP Open at HP Pavilion in San Jose, where play begins on Monday, February 12.
Warburg, a native of Sacramento and graduate of Stanford University, was the 2004 NCAA doubles champion and has climbed his way to No. 187 in the world rankings. Warburg is scheduled to play on Monday, February 12, against Amer Delic. Play begins at 7 p.m.and Warburg will play the second match.
"I hope the Sacramento community can come to the SAP Open -- it is a really exciting opportunity and I hope I can do well!" said Warburg, who has a huge following in the Bay Area as well. "It helps so much having a crowd there while playing. For those who were there last year, you know how much of a difference it makes!"
Last year, Warburg won the first round against former Top 10 player Joachim Joahansson but fell in the second round to Lleyton Hewitt.
Top 10 players entered in the tournament this year are James Blake, Marat Safin, Andy Roddick, and defending champion Andy Murray. For more information, visit www.sapopentennis.com.
