
Salute to Boy Bands and Fan Appreciation Night Promise to Make Final 2013 Home Stand Memorable

Bradenton, Fla. - The Bradenton Marauders play the final home stand of the 2013 season at McKechnie Field on Thursday, August 29 and Saturday, August 31. August 29 is the Salute to Boy Bands featuring special guest Chris Kirkpatrick of 'N Sync. August 31 is Fan Appreciation Night at McKechnie Field.
Thursday, August 29 is a doubleheader featuring the resumption of a suspended game against the Fort Myers Miracle. The Marauders will resume the suspended game at 5:00 p.m., with a seven inning game to follow. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. Chris Kirkpatrick, a founding member of legendary pop band 'N Sync, will be at McKechnie Field to meet fans and sign autographs. 'N Sync appeared together as a group for a short reunion performance on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards. Kirkpatrick will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the second game and remain on site until 8:45 p.m. After the second game, there will be boy band karaoke at the Kona Bar Built by NDC Construction.
August 29 is the final Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser. Thirsty Thursday Club members that have attended every Thirsty Thursday game will have a private meet and greet with Kirkpatrick from 5:45 p.m.-6:15 p.m. Thirsty Thursday specials will be in effect for both games, meaning sodas and select draft beers cost just $1.
Saturday, August 31 is Fan Appreciation Night. The game is at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Every fan in attendance will receive one free popcorn. Fantastic giveaways will be awarded to random rows of fans throughout the game. After the game there will be spectacular fireworks presented by Bright House Network and Budweiser.
August 31 is also Tobacco Free Night at McKechnie Field presented by the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County and the Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition. Tobacco use, including cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and chewing tobacco is not permitted inside the ballpark on this night. Reentry is prohibited.
The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-game days from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and closed on weekend non-game days. On Monday-Saturday game days, the ticket office opens at 1:00 p.m. and closes at the conclusion of the game. Fans holding tickets to any 2013 Marauders home game that was rained out or suspended due to rain may redeem their tickets for tickets to either remaining home date during regular ticket office hours.
