
Salmon Kings Host Open Call For Anthem Singers

Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the organization will hold their 1st Annual Salmon Kings Anthem Singer Contest.
The competition will be held on Saturday, October 13th at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The selected winners will get to perform the anthems at one of 36 Salmon Kings regular season home games.
In addition to performing the contest winners will also receive a Salmon Kings jersey, four tickets to the game they are performing at, and a DVD copy of their performance.
Singers of all ages are welcome to perform as a soloist, in groups or as a choir. All are welcome to audition and creativity is welcomed, but should remember that this is a singing contest.
Singers must be prepared to sing both the Canadian National Anthem (O Canada) as well as the American National Anthem (Star Spangled Banner) in front of the panel of judges. It is not necessary to provide a demo as the acts will be judged on their performance that day.
