
Sagueneens Suspend Activities
November 7, 2020 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
Longueuil, QC - The Chicoutimi Saguenéens have suspended their team activities after receiving a first positive COVID-19 test from one of the team's staff members.
The league issued a memo to the team's executives in which it outlined the following steps to take in accordance with the league's protocols:
Players and hockey staff will now be isolated and tested;
Public Health Officials from Saguenay - Lac-Saint-Jean have been contacted by the League. They are exploring the nature of all contacts between players and staff. Any additional findings will be shared with the team and the League.
As a preventative measure, the QMJHL has decided to postpone today's game between the Rimouski Océanic and Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Rimouski faced off against Chicoutimi this past Tuesday.
