Tuesday, July 8, 2008, 6:00 P.M. PDT at ARCO Arena
With the loss tonight, the Monarchs have lost their last three games. Sacramento scored 15 points off of Seattle's 19 turnovers. The Monarchs shot a season-low .322 19-of-59 from the field and had a season-low 20 rebounds for the game. Sacramento went on a 12-2 run with 4:03 left in the third quarter to cut the Storm's lead down to 18 points. Crystal Kelly scored a team-high 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field. Nicole Powell finished with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. The Storm ended a five-game losing streak against the Monarchs in Sacramento (last win: 7/15/04, 63-66). Seattle shot .544 from the field and a season-high .615 from three-point range for 8-of-13. The Storm's biggest lead of the game was 28 points. Seattle outscored Sacramento 38-28 in points in the paint. The Storm opened the second half with a 17-3 run. Lauren Jackson had a game-high 17 points and nine rebounds. Sue Bird recorded 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out nine assists to go along with two steals. Tanisha Wright committed four fouls in the fourth quarter including her sixth with 30.9 seconds left.
MONARCHS CALENDAR
Thursday, July 10 - Sacramento Monarchs vs. Los Angeles Sparks, 6:00 PM PDT
The Monarchs match up against Los Angeles for the second time this season after falling to the Sparks, 74-66, at home on June 14. Sacramento held Los Angeles to a season low 8 points in the first quarter, while Rebekkah Brunson led the team with 16 points and eight rebounds. The all-time series history now stands at 25-16 in favor of the Sparks.
Saturday, July 12 - Sacramento Monarchs vs. Phoenix Mercury, 7:00 PM PDT
The Monarchs face off against the 2007 WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury on Saturday, July 12, for the first time this season. The all-time series record between the Monarchs and the Mercury currently stands at 19-20 in favor of Phoenix, but Sacramento holds an 11-7 advantage at home.
2008 Special Events at Monarchs Games During the 2008 season, the Monarchs will be hosting special events for fans to participate in during designated home games throughout the season. The special events at Monarchs games are as follows:

- Thursday, July 24 vs. Phoenix Mercury: Camp Day
