
Sacramento Capitals Continue to Strengthen 2012 Roster, Add Kevin Anderson

(Sacramento, CA) - The Sacramento Capitals continue to strengthen the team's 2012 Roster with the recent addition of Kevin Anderson to the line-up. Anderson, who took home his 1st ATP World Tour title this past February, is currently ranked the No. 30 singles player on the ATP circuit. Anderson will join the team for the last four matches of the season, making his World TeamTennis debut with the Capitals July 24 against the Orange County Breakers. He will play again for the Capitals on the road July 25 against the Orange County Breakers, July 27 against the Philadelphia Freedoms, and in the final match of the regular season against the Boston Lobsters.
"Kevin is a relentless on the court. His drive, incredible work ethic and big serve will power the Capitals to finish the season strong," said Jayna Osborne, Capitals General Manager.
Anderson, who hails from South Africa, joins a Caps roster that includes marquee player Mardy Fish, Mark Knowles, Sam Querrey, Coco Vandeweghe, Yasmin Schnack and Asia Muhammad, and Ryan Sweeting. Wayne Bryan is the coach of the Capitals.
"I'm really excited to be part of what sounds like a great WTT squad over the summer. I've always loved the team format since I played college tennis at Illinois, so when the opportunity came to play for Sacramento, I couldn't pass it up. ÃÂ I've known Coach Bryan for a long time so it will be a pleasure to play for him," commented Anderson.
Sacramento Capitals individual match tickets and three match packages are now on sale at www.saccaps.com. Prices for individual tickets start at $25 and three-match packages begin at $60. Children's tickets will be available for $15. All matches are played at Sunrise MarketPlace Outdoor Pavilion at Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights. Doors open at 6pm for Happy Hour, Match time is 7:35pm.
