Sacramento Capitals Announce Details of Military Appreciation Night

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 30, 2013) - The Sacramento Capitals have teamed up with Citrus Town Center (and its property management company Inter-Cal Real Estate Corporation) to announce that their home match on July 8 will be a special Military Appreciation night. Veterans representing all divisions of military service throughout the years have been invited. They will receive a free pair of tickets to watch the Caps take on the Philadelphia Freedoms and will get a visit from a member of the team. Color Guard from Travis AFB will be on hand for opening ceremonies and halftime will feature a special salute to the veterans in attendance. The first 2,000 fans will receive a hand-held American Flag.

All military personnel with a valid military ID will receive a 20% discount for Military Appreciation Night. Present your ID at the box office to receive this special discount offer.

The team also announced that they, along with USTA Northern California, have adopted a unit in Afghanistan and will be accepting non-perishable items that night and throughout the season. Fans can be a part of the Capitals team while supporting our military oversees.  

Donated items should be placed in a one gallon zip lock bag and placed in Adopt-A-Unit containers at all home matches. (Please see flyer for more information)

Entrance at all home matches is at 6:00 p.m. and matches begins at 7:35 p.m. at Capitals Stadium on the corner of Sunrise Blvd. and Greenback Lane. Come early and enjoy the food, beverages and live music in the DBI Vendor Village.
