
Sabres Assign Five Players to Rochester; Gillies Released from PTO

(Rochester, NY)... Buffalo Sabres general manager Darcy Regier today announced the team has assigned the following players to the Rochester Americans (AHL): Daniel Catenacci, Jerome Gauthier-Leduc, Tim Schaller and Phil Varone. Jamie Tardif, pending waivers, will also be assigned to Rochester.
Additionally, forward Colton Gillies has been released from his professional try-out (PTO) contract.
The Sabres' roster now includes 35 players: 20 forwards, 12 defensemen and three goaltenders.
