SaberCats Wide Receiver Fred Williams and Offensive Lineman Jasper Harvey Bring Home Week 17 Honors

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Arena Football League and the SaberCats announced today that wide receiver Fred Williams and offensive lineman Jasper Harvey earned weekly honors from the AFL for their play this past Saturday in San Jose's key 75-61 win over the Chicago Rush. Williams was named the JLS Ironman of the Week for his breakout performance. Harvey earned Cutters Catch of the Week Honors for his diving touchdown reception on Saturday night in Chicago.

Williams (6-0, 195, St. Cloud State) caught 11 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns during the SaberCats road win over the Rush in Week 17. He also added five kick returns for 100 yards, including a 57-yard kick return touchdown, rushed twice for five yards and a score and forced a fumble while on special teams. Williams, who finished with five total touchdowns scored three different ways.

Harvey (6-3, 315, San Diego State) dove to haul in a tipped pass for a touchdown to close out the first half of the SaberCats 75-61 victory over Chicago in Week 17. Deep in Rush territory, San Jose quarterback Mark Grieb lofted a pass into a crowd of players, who batted the ball around before it fell into Harvey's hands for a score.
