
American Idol's Jermaine Jones to Sing at Soul Game

PHILADELPHIA (July 3, 2012) - Recent American Idol contestant and South Jersey native, Jermaine Jones, will perform "God Bless America" during Military Appreciation Night on Sunday, July 8 at the Wells Fargo Center when the Eastern Division Champion, Philadelphia Soul (13-3), face the Spokane Shock (8-7). Kickoff is set for 6:05 p.m.
"I am so excited to be singing at the Wells Fargo Center for the Soul game this Sunday," Jones said. "Thank you to the Philadelphia Soul and to all my fans in Philadelphia."
Jones, who was an American Idol Top 12 performer in 2012, is a singer, song-writer, performer & musical entrepreneur. His smooth bass vocals are captured best when singing R&B, Neosoul, Jazz & Gospel. Jermaine is a veteran performer having sung in major venues with his latest accomplishments. Jermaine is also a vocal instructor at Highest Praise Performing Arts Center in Atco, NJ and has made his awesome gift known in churches and arenas throughout the East & West Coast of the United States. Jermaine is now in the process of recording his debut CD which will be released in the Spring of 2013.
Jermaine's performance will be one part of a night set to honor our country's military. The program will include: A Job Fair for Veterans, The Battling BARE, Inc. organization on site to raise awareness for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, an in-game salute of honor to all the service men and women in the crowd from Brigadier General John L. Gronski from the Unites States Army and other high-ranking military officials. Also, Lieutenant Justin Legg from the US Navy Seals (retired) and graduate of the United States Naval Academy will wrap up the night with at 20-minute post game inspirational speech.
Local Recording Artist, Sara Spicer, who has performed with the Philadelphia Soul during the 2008 Championship Run will perform a "America Let's Roll" to kick off the Military Appreciation Ceremony highlighted by LT. Legg.
At the game, all active and retired military from all branches receive a free ticket to the Sunday, July 8 game with proof of service, including military identification. Family of military service men and women will receive a special rate of $20 per ticket. The Soul are currently 13-3 and shattering league and team records this season. They have already clinched the Eastern Division title as sell as home field advantage throughout the playoffs with the first home playoff game set for Saturday, July 28 at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center.
