
SaberCats Look to Continue Hot Start Saturday Against Utah Blaze

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats (1-0) opened their 2012 schedule with a thrilling 71-70 overtime win against longtime division rival and defending National Conference champion, the Arizona Rattlers on March 10. Quarterback Mark Grieb, the all-time leading passer in franchise history, threw for 432 yards on 34-59 passing with nine touchdowns and no interceptions, earning Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week honors for Week 1. After a bye in Week 2, San Jose travels to Salt Lake City, Utah for their first road test of 2012 to take on their Western division foe, the Utah Blaze (1-1) on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. PT at EnergySolutions Arena.
