Rapid City Rush News Release
(Rapid City, SD) - Following a preseason sweep of the Denver Cutthroats, the Rapid City Rush released three players on Sunday afternoon.
The team assigned forwards Derek Elliott and Justin Faryna as well as defenseman Brock Sawyer to the Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). Former Rush defenseman and Assistant Coach, Mark DeSantis, is currently in his first season as the Head Coach of the FireAntz.
The Rush kick-off the 2012-13 regular season on Friday against the Bloomington Blaze. The game can be heard on the Rush flagship station, 100.3 the FOX.
