Rush Hosts Hockey in Heels

On behalf of the Rapid City Rush Hockey Club and Relay for Life, Coach Joe Ferras and Assistant General Manager Tim Hill will host the second "Hockey in Heels" Fundraiser Event. This event offers women an opportunity to learn the game of hockey from the basics of the equipment to the rules and regulations of the game.
"It's a great opportunity for us to educate the female community on this great game and it gives us a chance to show our appreciation to the Rapid City community for their support by teaming up with local organizations like Relay for Life. It's a fun evening for the ladies and most leave with a better understanding of the game," Ferras said.
"Hockey in Heels" will be held June 3, 2008 in the Alpine Room at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm; wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Cost for the fundraiser is $25 and all proceeds go to Relay for Life.
